Hello Artie, can you describe your photographic career?

It really started around 4 months ago when I purchased a Canon DSLR rebel XTI and began capturing shots of Adelaide City in South Australia. I considered taking up some formal training however while researching, I came across Flickr and made contact with one person in particular (Erlend Robaye) who recognised my potential and became my mentor in HDR. He offered me constructive criticism and gave me an insight into the techniques of achieving quality HDRs.

What’s your preferred photographic subjects?

Landscape, seascape & cityscape are my preferred area of interest. Within that, I select subjects which capture my interest and imagination. I like symmetry and clean lines however I also like to inject a sense of atmosphere, drama and narrative.

Hello Nikola, can you describe your photographic career?

First of all im an amateur and self-taught photographer. Photography is my hobby and im dedicated to learning and practicing my skills everyday. I am not professional artists with expensive equipment,and I’m still not making money from my work. My career is short,im HDR addicted fan for a year and half but with no signs of botheration at all. I am not a classic HDR photographer because  i use HDR pictures as basic,starting point,and not as the final result.Thats why some of my HDR pictures look natural and people could not define them as HDR,and in other way some of them are artistic and pumped with colors and cartoonish effects.
I have started my HDR career with canon G7,than Canon EOS 350D and Sony R1 but I am using canon G9 camera right now. My plan is to take canon EOS 5D as soon as possible. I dont use tripod ,and most of my HDR pictures are from single RAW file but there are a lot of pictures made from 3 RAW shots or 3 JPG shots. Lire la suite…

Bonjour Thomas, peux tu nous décrire ton parcours photographique?

Bonjour Pierre-Henry !

Alors je m’appelle Thomas, j’ai 25 ans, je suis dessinateur industriel dans l’automobile, et j’habite Rouen. Mon parcours photographique a commencé fin 2002, avec l’acquisition de mon 1er numérique, un compact Olympus. A l’époque, je ne faisais que de la photo « basique » (familles, soirées, vacances, ..), plutôt dans le but de garder un souvenir que pour le côté artistique de la chose. Suivra quelques années après un ultra compact Sony + performant. Mais ce n’est qu’en 2006 et sur les conseils d’un ami que je craque sur le Canon 350d équipé du 18/200 Sigma. C’était plus à l’époque pour faire de meilleures photos qu’avec mon ultra compact, et non pour l’utilisation actuelle que j’en fais! Je ne pensais pas du tout en arriver là, et j’ai d’ailleurs eu du mal à m’y mettre… Mais depuis je suis accro !
J’ai d’ailleurs revendu mon matériel et acquis un Canon 40d avec les Canon 10-22, 24-105 L IS, et 60 macro.
